A Red Orchid Theatre launches its 1999-2000 season with the
World premiere of Place of Angels by Bob Adams.
An autobiographical account of Mr. Adams' experience as a
medic during the Vietnam War, Place of Angels goes beyond
the G.I. Joe iconography that distorts most dramatic interpretations
of the conflict. Filled with the vivid details and complex
relationships that only first-hand experience can offer, Mr.
Adams explores his plight as a man responsible for the care
of wounded soldiers in a battle that was terrifyingly difficult
and, at times, aimless.
